The biggest event on the US sporting calendar takes place on Monday (NZT) and TAB NZ is giving all Kiwis the chance to win by combining two of America’s favourite things – sport and chicken wings.
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 and it’s estimated more than 50 million Americans are planning to bet on the match, with a whopping $16 billion to be wagered in the US alone.
If you ask any American football fan they’ll tell you that you must have wings while watching the Super Bowl. In fact, about 1.4 billion wings are eaten that day.

The Super Bowl has been a big hit with Kiwi punters in the past couple of years, with 47,000 bets placed in 2021 and 46,000 placed last year, a big jump from the 18,000 bets placed in 2020. Last year’s Super Bowl generated $798,000 in turnover, compared to $455,000 generated throughout the preceding NFL regular season.
