CHIEF TRANSITION OFFICER (Formerly Executive Chair)
Dean McKenzie took over as Executive Chair of RITA in January 2020 following his appointment as Chair on 1 July 2019. He also recently served as Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Committee (MAC), established by the Minister for Racing in December 2018.
Dean was previously a Director of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing, the governing body of the thoroughbred code in New Zealand. He was Chief Executive Officer of the Wellington Racing Club and New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club and General Manager of the Southland Racing Club.
GENERAL MANAGER FINANCE
Sam has previously held both commercial and operational roles in the Finance and Broadcasting divisions, before becoming the GM of Finance in 2020.
Sam is a Chartered Accountant who joined the TAB Finance team in 2013 after several years working in both New Zealand and London
GENERAL MANAGER CORPORATE AND GOVERNANCE SERVICES
Jessica has been with the business for seven years, most recently as the TAB's General Counsel, looking after legal and regulatory affairs.
Prior to joining the TAB, Jessica was a Senior Solicitor at New Zealand law firm Chapman Tripp, acting for a range of commercial and public sector clients. Jessica has been a Committee Member of the Wellington Racing Club since 2014 and is a keen thoroughbred owner
GENERAL MANAGER CUSTOMER AND BETTING
Simon has worked in the wagering industry for over 20 years. Since joining the business in 2008 he has held a number of trading and risk management roles across both racing and sport. Prior to joining TAB NZ Simon spent five years in London with a major UK based wagering operator.
In his role as GM Customer & Betting he currently oversees a number of areas of the business, including Marketing, Technology, Product and Betting.
GENERAL MANAGER BROADCASTING AND OPERATIONS
Edward is the current Chair of the TAB NZ Dates Committee and former long standing CEO at Harness Racing NZ.
Since September 2019 he has been engaged to assist the TAB NZ Board (formerly RITA) with the industry reform programme. Edward has extensive knowledge of the industry at many levels, with involvement as a keen punter and owner in addition to his administration experience
He lives in Christchurch with his wife Janice and has three adult daughters.
